When I saw that western countries unfairly demonized and slandered China with lies and false accusations, I became close to China and supported China.

Sadly, I find that more and more people (under the malicious influence of the media) have become "Anti China" in my motherland (UK). To some extent, I don't blame those people, because I believe that no one can be free from manipulation or even thorough brainwashing in that environment. If I have never lived here, or have no connection with this place (I have a close working relationship / friendship with many Chinese people for more than 20 years), maybe I will believe the negative news about China that comes one after another.

I used to dislike China for a time, thinking that people talk offensive and impolite... I really feel sorry for everything in this country. At that time, I was really a stupid little guy. I am a kind of Chinese American with "yellow skin and white heart". My parents regularly take me back to China to visit my family. My Chinese is so bad that a clerk suspects that I have mental retardation. There was a disconnect between me and my motherland, although I didn't think much at that time. I am obviously more inclined to naively advocate the history and values of the West.

我是那种“黄皮白心”的美籍华人，我的父母定期带我回中国看望家人，我的中文太糟糕了，以至于一个店员怀疑我有智障。我和我的祖国之间有一种脱节，尽管当时我并没有考虑太多。我显然更倾向于天真地主张西方的历史和价值观。
